We take weddings scary serious around here. If you’re looking for Halloween wedding ideas, this one will give you tons of inspiration for planning your own Halloween wedding.

A Halloween-themed wedding has been one that I’ve wanted to photograph for years. The decorations, the color palette, the details – they scream tasteful, unique, and spook-tacular.

If you’re tying the knot on October 31st, this moody theme will give you the freedom to celebrate your wedding day.  The Ayers really nailed every detail in their fall wedding.

Whether you’re contemplating a mostly black color palette or thinking outside the box with mixing and matching ideas, DO IT! These photos turned out incredible.

Spooky Decorations for unique Halloween wedding ideas

Halloween is my favorite holiday. The pumpkins, skeletons, masks, the mixture of orange and black – it’s a timeless holiday that makes for a festive wedding. I’m sure we can say with certainty, your spouse won’t have a second thought when asked your wedding date in the future.

Bright greenery along with the black and orange decorations for this holiday wedding set the tone for an elegant, yet themed wedding. Even the small details add a big impact.

Photo Ideas for the Bride and Groom

Unlike other wedding dates, Halloween poses for some cool shots on your big day. To set the spooky mood, Trevor and Jess incorporated a neon ‘Til Death’ sign and neat masks for their photos. I’m sure the Ayers can attest for a whole new meaning of ‘Til Death Do Us Part.”

This holiday wedding is meant to be fun – incorporate details that create a wedding experience you love. If you want spooky, moody, or dark elements, add them in! Or, if you prefer more elegant, modern fall tones, center your details around this theme. Adding pops of neutral may balance the dark palette more.

When your day is here, in the end, you’ll create a day you’ll have fun with and one your guests will follow suit.
